Travel indication Via Lago Maggiore:
-from Bellinzona after Locarno along Lago Maggiore via Verbania
-take the autostrada A26 to Alessandria
-Before Allessandria take the A21 direction Asti/Torino.
-from exit Asti est go on as describbed above
The route is nicer if you have time, has less trucks and only one toll booth. However this route can be annoying during holiday periods.
Via Varese:
-from A2exit Mendrisio/Varese direction Stabio
-drive in direction of Stabio (border/customs)
-direction A8 Milano until 100 m before the first toll booth
-go right ! Then on the A26 direction Genoa/Gravellone T.
-on the A26 until before Alessandria
-take the A21 direction Asti/Torino
-from exit Asti est go on as describbed above
This is, in our opinion, the most commendable route.
Via Martigny / big St Bernard, S.Bernardo):
-in direction of Aosta. Then A5 direction Torino/Savona.
-then A6 direction Savona until exit Marene
-Street from Cherascco – Monchiero – Monforte d’Alba
